Hence, it is a vital tool for personal and group development. Through the computer internet, availability of applications is maximized which eventually reduces the cost of ownership. Therefore, users have continuous entrance to flexible and dependable network. The organization is able to control its expenses over some time. The IOS enables safekeeping of the future internetworks (Böhmer & Krüger 2138). This is achievable as IOS tracks the changes and migration, which are inevitable in the information systems. It is also possible to add new services, descriptions, and applications to the internetwork through the IOS (Ranger 12).

Apple offers a variety of network management and security abilities to meet the needs of the diverse complicated internetworks (Böhmer & Krüger 2142). Through this, the administration uses shortened time to go through the procedures within the device, to diagnose, and fix any problem. Several management features are incorporated within the device at a lower cost of upgrading and managing the configuring routers.

The springboard shows the application icons and a point where the users can pin their most used applications. This appears wherever the device is unlocked. The background of the screen can be customized with the rest to display time, battery life among other data. This enables the screen of the device to be synchronized with the rest of the applications; the spotlight search function allows the user to go through the media such as the music, podcasts, and videos. In the iOS & this feature is available by pulling down the home screen. Another picture can be set as a background. This feature is only available in the recent models. By organizing the most frequent uses of the applications, the user is able to add the aesthetic and usability values.

There is the introduction of the simple folder system, which allows the user to drag a folder on top of each other to generate a folder and apps. This is possible when the application is in the ‘jiggle mode’. The title is automatically selected but the user can change to the desired name. Before the introduction of the iOS in Apple devices, notifications came through the blue dialogue box (Böhmer & Krüger 2141). This was redesigned especially in the iOS 5. Presently, notifications are gathered in a new window, which is then dragged, to the bottom of the screen. When a received notification is read, the entire folder opens for the rest of the notifications to be read. These are received in tint banners at the status bar. If a user desires to apply the old method of gathering notification, they are still able to as the design is inbuilt. When a notification is sent while the apps are closed, a red badge appears. Opening of the apps closes the red badge.

There are default apps in the integrated devices with the iOS. These can be easily accessed by the user through the settings apps, which disables the restrictions. These applications are made to share data such as phone number from an email. This can then be saved in the contacts folder. Information is thus easily and cheaply sent to other users with the same kind of device. For instance, users of iOS 5 can receive and send free text messages to other iOS 5 devices. The iOS can multitask, which reduces the work of the applications at the background (Apple Inc. 7). Hence, there is a limited application of the function set which allows developers to include explicit support. Among the multitasking abilities, include the application of background music while the user is writing an email or taking a photo. Through the introduction of the information management in the iOS, users can now switch applications such as music, and volume controller. Management of information has further enabled the user to enjoy more entertainment through the iOS devices (Apple Inc. 2). This is through the game center where users can invite their friends to play a game, track down their success and compare the high scores.
