Physical Fitness 101

Over the past few weeks I have experienced growth and positive physical changes in my body and health. I have realized most of the goals that I had at the beginning of this class and I am yet to achieve others. My body has undergone several positive changes as it was my expectation at the beginning of the semester. This essay discusses the growth and physical changes in my body over the past semester and if I have achieved the goals I had at the beginning of the semester.

My body mass index at the beginning of this semester was 40.4 and at the end of the semester after consistent exercise and adhering to an activity log program it reduced to 39.7. This is a clear indication that I have lost some fats in my body and thus making me healthier. This is as a result of my strict adherence to the activity log and the guidelines that I was given by a health expert on how to lose excessive fats. From the figures that I recorded at the beginning of the semester it is clear that I had become obese. The regular exercises that I have undertaken have helped me to realize my goal of reducing my body mass index to a more manageable level.

My body fat analysis at the beginning of this class was 39% whereas my body fat analysis at the end of the class is 44.82%. This clearly shows that my body fat content has increased over the past few months.  The increase in my body fat content was a negative change which I did not expect at the beginning of the semester and shows that I am yet to achieve my goal of losing lots of fats in my body.

When started this class, I had numerous fitness goals that I hoped to achieve by the end of the semester. I achieved most of these goals because of my personal efforts and strict adherence to the adverse given by a nutrition and health expert. My goals at the beginning of the semester include; losing my body weight, control my blood pressure and prepare my body for summer.

My goals were realistic because I have achieved most of them, for instance, I have lost more than six pounds just within the past few weeks. I have also managed to control my blood pressure without medication, before my resolve of not using medication for my blood pressure I could hardly finish a day without taking medicine. The positive changes in my body is clearly evidenced by the shape of my body as at now, my body looks tighter than before my decision to take control of it my using natural remedies like physical exercise as compared to medication. I challenged myself by avoiding medication to control my blood pressure. At first, It was difficult and I thought I could not manage by with time my body has adapted to the changes.

I learned a lot of new things by keeping a fitness log of my body. First I have realized that the body can under both positive and negative changes just within a few weeks. For instance, my body has undergone positive changes just within few weeks that I resolved to do physical exercises to remedy problems that I was experiencing at the beginning of the semester. Exercise is a natural remedy to problems which are experienced in the body like high blood pressure as it is evidenced from my case. Second, I have learned the types of foods that someone takes have both positive and negative impacts to his/her body. This is because the changes that I have experienced in my body are as a result of my strict adherence to the nutrition list that I was given by my expert. There some foods that I have avoided for the past few weeks and others than I can hardly finish a day without taking them just because of the nutritional benefits that they have in my body.

There are other changes that I have observed in my body over the last few weeks. First at the beginning of the semester it could take me more than thirty five minutes to walk for one mile. I was only able to do sixteen push up stands, sixteen jump squats, and sixteen planks and hold them for fifty seconds. At the end of the semester I have improved in almost every aspect of my life because it only takes me twenty five minutes to walk for one mile. I am also able to do thirty one push up stands, twenty one jump squats and can do thirty planks while holding for one minute. This is a positive achievement because I have doubled all the capabilities of my body.

This class has been of great importance to me because of the positive achievements that I have been able to realize. I have achieved most of my goals and objectives that I had at the beginning of this class. Positive changes have only been possible because of the activity log and adherence to instructions given by my instructor.
