Homeland Security Act was created by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by
consolidating diverse bureaus and agencies. Homeland Security Act was enacted in 2002 by the

York City on September 11, 2001.The core mission of the Homeland Security Act is to minimize
damage, reduce vulnerability of terrorism of the United States, prevent terrorist attacks within

authority to control and direct investigations that require preventing terrorism and access
information needed is provided to the secretary of the Homeland Security.
One of the top most priorities was to protect Americans from terrorism and threats by
preventing transitional criminal organizations, nation-states and their proxies and groups or
organizations from engaging in criminal or terrorists activities that threatens Homeland. The
Department of Homeland Security focuses on collection, analyzing and sharing actionable
intelligence and detects and disrupts threats. Additionally, they protect soft targets, events and
designated leadership. They also counter emerging threats and weapons of mass destruction.

prevents foreign threats and enforces migration laws in the entire United States. The flow of
people and goods into the United States is managed to maintain the national security.
