The learning of political science is also attributed to the variety of opportunities and tribulations in the region of the Middle East (Monshipouri 2014). To enhance the relationship between the nations, it is imperative to put in place cultural diplomacy, which is one of the ways that can be utilized in enhancing the relationship between the Americans and the people of the Middle East.

IssuesContributing to the Study of Political Science

There are various issues that significantly contribute to the learning political science as a course. Among them is the urge to enlarge one’s awareness, and understanding of various government systems, as well as,  operation in diverse parts of the globe (Dansinger1998).This way of understanding is extremely valuable to the learners of political science. In broad, the students will be motivated eventually by their urge togain good knowledge and perception ofthe world they live in. All the aforementioned factors are provided through the study of political science. Therefore, the study of this course makes a diversity offuture careers to accessible by learners. A good example of such careers is the business. For example, in commerce, an individual might desire to undoubtedly know and comprehend the largely probable line of guiding theory in different regions, and politics in different parts of the world such as Asia, Europe, Africa and America. This is an issue  is  critical since it enables the individuals who learn political science make better decisionsregardingissues of investment, as well as, commerce.

The next issue, which promotes the learning of political science, is the presence of many approaches that may be employed in studying this issue. In fact, the presence of theseapproaches makes political science an interesting subject tolearn. These approaches also make the learning of this subject easier. This is due to the fact that the learners can choose the approach to utilize depending on their taste and preference. Here, what is essential is that political science is a lesson that utilizes varied approaches and techniques, hence trains those who study it in many different critical skills that willultimately helpone thrive in virtually whichever profession they decide onin life. For example, the subject will equipanindividual with good skills in quantitativethinking and reasoning through analysis of statistical data based on various political projections, trends and hard facts. The various approaches in the subject aim at equipping the learner with different life skills. Still, political science is a very broad and inclusive subject and this also forms a major reason why the majority of individuals have a great desire in learning it.Consequently, the subject presents wide and extensive information to its students. This fact is helpful to learners since the scope of their future career will be narrowed down to one or just few areas of specialization. As a result of this, somebody can, for example, be both a political analyst and the psychological assessor at the same time, and do the two jobs perfectly. In addition, other people may opt to strive to understand the reasons, and other existing judicial issues and legal issues at the same time, while others may well still decidestudy a range of different political set ups to learn how they operate in relation to existing conditions in their various environments. This broad nature of Political Science is very helpful because it contributes, very effectively, towards its learning since it makes it not only more interesting, but also opens up various future career opportunities to the learners.

The Middle East

The region of Middle East cannot be mentioned without the thought of its various problems and opportunities. They are various problems in this region based on religious differences, racism, terrorism, fighting between Israelis and Arabs, drought among very many others. However, the Middle East region also has some excellent opportunities which could ultimately forever change it for the better in terms of economy, and the general wellbeing of its citizens (Monshipouri 2014). Therefore, there exist many and varied issues that elicit critical thought towards the region. Some of the issues with heavy weight in drawing some critical inquiry into the Middle Eastare the causes and effects of the recentpolitical uprisings in the region.

The first cause of the conflict is that the Middle East has a big portion of its population unemployed. Therefore, the unemployment ultimately results into someof the uprisings as people, especially the educated youths, demanded for them to be employed amid economic hardships in most parts of the region. This situation was mainlydepicted in Tunisia and Egypt. The overall result was quite devastating with the ousting of some presidents, as well as deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. In brief, these upheavals resulted in several hardpolitical realities, and financial problems in many parts of the region that are affected in one way or the other (Monshipouri 2014).  Therefore, joblessness is a setback that needs to be cautiously looked so as to prevent more upheavals. This is attributed to the fact that of the cause unwanted destructions to various fabrics of the word, and since the Middle East is a crucial economic region for the whole world, in terms of production of oil among others, there is a need for some remedial measures to be implemented to make sure that jobless in the region is reduced as much as possible, if not totally eliminated. In truth, the upheavalsthemselves do not generate jobs, or help, in any way, deal with the problem of unemployment. Ironically, many jobs are lost dailybecausethe upheavals bring about tough life with unrestrained insecurity to the affected areas. Surely, very few sane people will invest in a region where chaos of all sorts and untold insecurity is the order of the day.

Another cause, as well as, result of the uprising that elicits critical look at the region is the problem of frustration which is rife in the region. In fact, the people of these regions have been voted as some of the most frustrated people in the world (Monshipouri 2014).These high levels of frustration can be attributed to the high hopes that most of these them had at the beginning of the revolution and the eventual results of the same. Actually, frustration, as a problem, is being witnessed in various places where theuprisings cause change in political leadership.  For example in Egypt, president Morsi, who was chosen democratically to succeed President Hosni Mubarak, was forcefully removed from the office  after just over one year of being in power due to frustration of the opposition groups and the military with his leadership (Monshipouri 2014). This trend is very worrying as there are alreadysignsof annoyance with political change as in the above case of Egypt as well as other countries such as Libya and Tunisia. Broadly speaking, the problems here ask for meticulous examination of   the Middle East.

However, these uprisings also presentsome very major opportunities for moving away from the fraudulent tyrannical old regimes in this region. The removal of these unpopular regimes shows that the region has the potential to change the cause of its destiny, and ensuring that the leaders here are not allowed to hold back the desire for these people to develop their welfare, just like many parts of the world. Among the main vital lessons of the upheavals is that there is an added essential hope concerning the momentum of political change, mainly among the youths of this region, together with the numerous and various discontented demands that might lead to the eventual radicalization of different groups within this region. This aspect of radicalization of the region may be a huge setback for the region in spite of the potential to enjoy as a result of the revolution in the region change for the better that the region may have. Enhancing Relationship between Americans and the People of Middle East

Mutual understanding and relationship between the peoples of America and the Middle East can be greatly enhanced in different ways. Research has shown that one of them is through the employment of cultural diplomacy (Pintak 2003). Cultural diplomacy is defined as the making use of the country’s culture so as to reach out to international audiences, and to encourage commendable picture of the state in the international arena. In fact, in the current turbulent world, diplomacy plays a very vital role between and among different countries in the world in realizing political goals, understanding and promotion of people’s images all over the world (Pintak 2003)

Benefits of Cultural Diplomacy

Cultural diplomacy influences the preferences of different people, and it has to do with their culture, political ideologies, and foreign policy(Pintak 2003).It will help those from the Middle East and the American becomes more exposed to each other. Therefore, cultural it will enable these states to aim at making their individual political ideas and policies more commendable. If there are points where their cultures has shared principles and  interests, probability of enhanced  mutual understanding among these people will be enhanced further. It will further increase the likelihood of obtaining some desired results because of the existing relationship of attraction, as well as the sense of duty that there shared culture elicits among them.

Cultural democracy is equally beneficial as it helps in enhancing association among the Americans and the people of the Middle East because it is more accessible to many people. This is because it succeeds in reaching more people as compared to foreign   policies that are hard to access through the traditional roles of embassies. For instance, traditional operations of the embassies  does  very much expose investors, as well as other businessmen from these cultures to the economy and society of their overseas counterparts’ (Pintak 2003) .As a result cultural diplomacy  might lead  to   more  people making considerable economic investments in the state whose culture they are exposed to. This is the fact very relevant to the Americans and the citizens of the Middle East region because it will increase chances of them investing in others’ economies, while generally enhancing the relationship among them.

Foreign language learning is also an integral part of cultural diplomacy. Learning of languages from other regions by these individuals will be of enormous help in enhancing reciprocated understanding among them .People’s languages carry with them their cultures. Hence in learning their language one will inevitably learn some aspects of their cultures. Therefore it is important for the Americans and the people of the Middle Eat to, at least, learn each other’s language, and thus reduce some of culturally based problems between them and engage with each other the more. It is a fact that often, the United States’ contacts with the leaders from the Middle East have been constantly hindered by language barrier in (Pintak, 2003) .The more the people of America and those of the Middle East learn about Arabic and English respectively, the more they will be in a very good position to understand the culture, and the general way of life of one another. Hence they will be more willing and ready to listen to one another through negation, which eventually lead to improved mutual understanding and relationship among these nations.

In brief, political science has a variety of issues contributing to its effective study as a course in a very interesting and far reaching way. Furthermore, there is a wide range of problems and opportunities  in the region of the Middle East .These detailed problems and opportunities in the region surely begs for a more far-reaching and critical learning of the region so as to understand it the more, and possibly find  some very good ways of handling the region differently. Lastly, there are some long-standing poor relationships between America and many states of the Middle East hence the need to improve this relationship. Cultural diplomacy is among the numerous means through which the relationship between the United States and the countries in the Middle East region can be greatly improved. This will reduce the palpable tension that has always been there over very many years between numerous Arab states within the Middle East and America. Consequently, this intolerance, suspicion and witch hunting that clouded, and strained very much the relationship between these countries for so long a time.
