Introduction

Astronomy refers to the study of celestial objects such as planets and stars in natural science. Space exploration is the current research that entails discovery of celestial structures which are found in outer space. It is an activity that incorporates continuous growth and the evolution of space technology. Space discovery is a study that is executed by astronomers with the help of telescopes. Conversely, space exploration that is conducted by physical means involves human spaceflight and unmanned robotic probes. In general, observation of objects in space is also termed as astronomy because it predicts recorded and reliable history. This depicts the development of relatively efficient and large rockets that were used in the early 20th century, hence allowing physical space exploration to turn into reality.

Thesis Statement

This paper exhibits an argument that articulates the need for further space exploration to be conducted by scientists. Through this research, we get to access and enjoy different advantages that the program offers to people and the entire global community. I choose to argue for space exploration because it has many benefits that expose people to job opportunities and significant and fascinating scientific discoveries.

Background Research

Since space exploration began in the 1950s, there have been arguments from different scopes that its funding could be diverted to revitalize the economy (Haugen, 2011). Other opponents claim that the finances that are put into this project could be used to promote the education system or solve other problems that we encounter on earth. However, I assert that space exploration is important and the activity does not waste funds. As a proponent of this discussion, I concur with scientists who support space exploration because it makes us learn about new things that we never knew before. Space exploration is beneficial to human beings in that it proceeds to set breakthroughs that we face in technology. Practically, when we send astronauts to space, it enables us to further understand how they respond biologically to space surroundings. Additionally, space exploration has made scientists to learn a lot about human beings in relation to their health when they are in space.

Human Benefits

Space exploration has many benefits for human beings, and this is evident from the initial research conducted in space by scientists. This scientific activity has led to plenty of new ideas and ground breaking technologies that apply in real life situations. This also applies in the health sector, whereby scientists found out that innovative technology of digital image processing could be used in the medical field. It all started when scientists were in need of precise images of the moon surface to be able to land the first man. The digital image processing used computers to enhance moon images, which researchers found its technology to be effective in the medical department. This accounts for one reason why space exploration is vital because today, the digital image processing is used in CT scans and magnetic resonance imaging.

I support space exploration to be conducted further as it facilitates various innovations such as medicine (Stewart, 2010). During the early times, it was a challenge to develop huge amounts of protein crystals. Fortunately, scientists found out that the crystals which are produced in space could be useful in preparing atomic components of albumin, an essential protein that benefits human beings. This further assisted them to discover the new century pharmaceuticals that led to development of a cancer drug and other skin care products. In addition, space exploration is vital in that it promotes information technology. This is evident through efforts that are incorporated by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA. It makes use of satellites to observe system data on earth and collects information that is related to the atmosphere.

Space exploration contributes to improvement of technology by offering convenient access to large amounts of data. According to NASA, they have coordinated with Archivas Inc. to invent a high technology software program that holds huge amounts of information. Currently, different organizations such as mobile providers and hospitals have benefited from this technology when they use it to store information. In the communication sector, satellites play an instrumental function by revealing the manner in which we navigate the world and communicate. In regard to this aspect, firms such as RCA collaborated with NASA and various space agencies to construct and place satellites in the earth’s orbit (Sanford, 2009). Due to the technology in space exploration, various global positioning systems find satellites to be useful in maintaining their connection with and in the universe. The networks that benefit include radio stations, television networks, and cell phone carriers that rely on satellites to operate efficiently.

Space exploration is vital and has also a positive impact to the environment. Currently, the Air force Fire and Rescue Research Groups have innovated high-pressure systems of same nature that suppress fire within seconds. This expertise is also known to reduce the usage of water that is created by the extreme force droplets as opposed to an excessive flow. I support the move that is taken by NASA, the responsible body for space exploration, to ensure that their research benefits all individuals. Through it, individuals can now access foam mattress that provides a comfortable platform for sleeping. It is originally from polyurethane-silicon plastic that reduces harsh impact when spacecrafts land. Apparently, this foam is applicable in everything ranging from automobiles, helmets, horseback saddles, and airplanes. From this sample, it is clear that space exploration is of great impact in our daily activities and it should be advanced.

This space program is significant when it improves the water filtration systems that have assisted astronauts. The society need to embrace the idea of space exploration as its investments result to great value. In this aspect, the government should consider space exploration by putting aside funds to sponsor the program. This is an important motive to be considered to support exploration because failure to do this, the world will be on the verge of losing something that is incredible.  The idea of supporting further exploration in space is critical in that it reintroduces a sense of physical discovery. This challenges diverse individuals from various parts of the world to get into strange and hostile environments for the purpose of discovery. Approximately, 99 percent of space and oceans are available for us to investigate and this can only be accomplished by instructing people to visit various physical locations. This move is crucial and genuine because it exposes us to interesting and fascinating scientific discoveries.

Space exploration is significant to human beings because the robots that we send to such surroundings do not know the advantages of exploration. It is also clear that if we support scientific space discovery, we also get earthly benefits. This requires diplomatic relationships between various states across the globe and having engineers from different backgrounds to coordinate in this program. I argue for further exploration of space because it advances technology among firms and inspire individuals via education systems. Space science is a project that keeps facing new challenges that relates to communications and materials (Haugen, 2011). The positive sides of these issues are that when they are solved, they benefit the terrestrial economy. Opponents need to stop on their speculations when they claim that investing in rockets requires heavy funding and the returns do not help in boosting the economy. On the contrary, those against space exploration need to know that the discoveries contribute to the economy in a great way.

Currently, a team of scientists is doing their best to promote a framework that teaches individuals to maintain long-term presence in space. Advanced space exploration entails construction of structures in space and other scientific experiments. This exploration may take plenty of time but its outcome is of great significance. About this discovery, NASA has called for various international allies to collaborate with to avoid disappointing allies by cancelling large chunks of the project. To further explore space, it is vital to have alliances because they are key in enhancing the long-term potential for space discovery. I support space exploration because it paves way for job opportunities. This is evident through contractors in the space agency and various university entities that assist individuals to stay employed. NASA also plays a big role by generating figures based on the associated jobs that a certain space project generates and its impact to the economy (Sanford, 2009).

Space exploration is a good program that should be encouraged because it supports matters that concern education. Teaching in NASA is given the first priority so much that it has led to astronaut educators being flown in space. To the present, astronauts take regular flights to attend conferences with their students in space. In this regard, space discovery should be promoted because it inspires various students to pursue careers in the field of astronomy. There are also other intangible benefits that are associated with space exploration. This ranges from discovering methane on Mars or even constructing an international space station to conduct long-term exploration research. Furthermore, space exploration can foster knowledge about space that can be drafted on encyclopedia to benefit human races across the globe. This exploration is vital to people because it inspires art through short videos and inspiring songs.

My main argument concerning space discovery is that it drives human beings to explore and find out the unknown. This implies that it facilitates individuals to go beyond the boundaries of technical and scientific limits to establish what is in space. Exploring the space assists human beings to address vital questions that relate to the universe and the solar system. The efforts of scientists to focus on challenges that are connected to space exploration aid human beings to expand technology. Discovering the space in details also helps to foster peaceful relationships with other states.
